Admissions

Overview

  • Admission to the Way Back Inn or the Grateful House happens within 24 hours of the initial assessment.
  • Contact your insurance carrier to determine your benefits.
  • Depending on the coverage, a payment may be required at admission.
  • Male and female clients, 19 years or older

Programs and services:

  • Men’s Recovery Program and Halfway House
  • Women’s Recovery Program and Halfway House
  • DUI Classes and assessments
  • Intensive Outpatient Treatment
  • US Veterans Treatment Program
  • Polish-American Recovery Services (Polish translation is needed)
  • 12 Step Meetings
  • Compulsive Gambling Program

Eligibility: Out Patient and Intensive Out-Patient (PhP)

  • C.A.R.F. Accredited
  • Diagnostic criteria for Psychoactive Substance Abuse Disorder and/or Compulsive Gambling as defined in the Crrent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV R) will be utilized for diagnosis.
  • Assessed as alcohol/drug free for at least 14 days and no evidence of protracted withdrawal syndrome.
  • Medical doctor approval.
  • No history of chronic violent behavior.

Eligibility: Extended Residential Care

  • Diagnostic criteria for Psychoactive Substance Abuse Disorder and/or Compulsive Gambling as defined in the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV R).
  • Successful completion of a chemical dependency residential program.
  • No biomedical problems that would interfere with residential treatment.
  • Medical doctor approval.
  • Maintain or willing to maintain full-time employment.
  • No history of chronic violent behavior. A mental health evaluation.

Fees & Payments

  • Payments can be made with cash, check, or credit card. A payment program is available upon request. A credit card will be put on file at the time of admission. Our staff will assist with the filing of insurance claims.
  • The Way Back Inn and Grateful House’s fees are based on the client’s need. No one will be turned away for financial reasons. All fees are based on the Illinois Department of Human Services – Division of Drug and Alcohol Abuse guidelines.

Third Party Payments (insurance companies)

  • Insurance Payments – Please contact your insurance provider prior to admission to determine your benefits. Please bring your insurance information at the time of admission.
  • Military Veterans – Please contact Tri-Care prior to admissions to determine your benefits and bring your Tri- Care insurance card at the time of admission.
  • Medicaid – Please contact your Medicaid provider prior to admission to determine your benefits and bring your Medicaid card at the time of admissions
