Family members, caregivers, and loved ones can struggle with the effects of an individual’s addiction, too.
A family psychoeducation therapy group is held weekly for the loved ones of those struggling with substance or gambling use disorders.
All interested community members seeking to learn more about substance use disorders, gambling disorders, mental health, and recovery, are invited to participate regularly to better understand the disease of addiction and what one may do to offer support to their loved one and themselves. Often in addiction, relationships are strained, broken, or absent due to isolation, turmoil, or negative events that have transpired. The goal of Family Group is to offer support to individuals battling addiction with their loved ones.
On a weekly basis, we provide participants and their families with process-oriented therapy dealing with issues of addiction disorder and how it affects the family system. The more that family members understand and are involved in their loved one’s recovery, the greater the chance that the recovering person will sustain their path forward.
Family Group: Saturdays 9:00AM-10:00AM on-site or via Zoom.
