What Is ERC?
Extended Residential Care (ERC) provides individuals in early recovery with a structured, supportive living environment where they can continue building the skills and confidence needed for long-term recovery. Residents participate in scheduled therapy sessions, group meetings, and recovery-focused activities while learning to balance responsibility and independence.
What to Expect
Daily Schedule
Residents follow a consistent daily routine that includes therapy groups, house meetings, work, meals, and recreation time. Structure supports stability and accountability while allowing for personal growth.
Community Living
Residents share responsibilities such as meal prep, chores, and supporting one another in recovery. Each home fosters a family-like atmosphere that emphasizes trust, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Therapeutic Support
Residents receive individual and group counseling sessions focused on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and life skills training, helping each person transition confidently into independent living.
Recovery Homes: The Next Step
Upon completion of ERC, residents may transition into one of Way Back Inn’s Recovery Homes. These homes provide continued stability and support for those stepping back into work, education, and family life while maintaining strong ties to their recovery community.
