Family members, caregivers, and loved ones can struggle with the effects of an individual’s addiction, too. Our Family Group is a free psychoeducation and therapy group held weekly to support loved ones of those struggling with substance or gambling use disorders.
All interested community members seeking to learn more about substance use disorders, gambling disorders, mental health, and recovery are invited to participate. Family Group is designed to help loved ones better understand addiction and learn how to support both themselves and their loved one.
Addiction often strains or breaks relationships due to isolation, turmoil, or past negative events. Family Group offers a safe space to process these challenges, build understanding, and support your loved one’s recovery.
On a weekly basis, participants and their families engage in process-oriented therapy focused on the effects of addiction on the family system. The more family members understand and participate in recovery, the better the chances that the individual struggling with addiction will sustain their recovery path.
Family Group meets Saturdays from 9:00AM–10:00AM, both on-site and via Zoom.
